Wise Saying #2:
Do not make friends with a hot-tempered person, do not associate with one easily angered, or you may learn their ways and get yourself ensnared. (Proverbs 22:24-25 NIV)
The quick-tempered person is like a bomb with a short fuse, ready to explode at any moment with devastating consequences. Angry people are fools full of fury. There is nothing godly, noble, or honorable about them, no matter how you might try to justify their anger or makes excuses for it. By associating with a hothead, you run the risk of becoming fatally infected with their vile and venomous attitude even before you know it. Remember, the warning from the apostle, “Do not be deceived: ‘Bad company ruins good morals.’” (1 Corinthians 15:33 ESV). So today, if you want to be wise; if you want a heart that trust in the Lord (cf. 22:19) avoid the “hot-tempered person” at all costs.
