What a blessing to know that the Lord will provide,
“And the manna ceased the day after they ate of the produce of the land. And there was no longer manna for the people of Israel, but they ate of the fruit of the land of Canaan that year.” (Joshua 5:12)
For forty years, while the children of Israel wondered in the desert of Sinai, God rained down manna – “bread from heaven.” Day-after-day for some 14,600 days, the Israelites lived off the manna that covered the ground each morning. However, once the people ate the “produce of the [Promised] Land” the manna ceased yet God had replaced one provision with another. There’s a lesson here for us, our Father provides for us in different ways at different stages of our lives. When He causes one provision to dry up, He replaces it with another. So for today, let’s put our faith in God to supply our needs, for He is a good Father who loving provides for His children.
